Ismail Merchant est un producteur de cinéma et un réalisateur indien, né le 25 décembre 1936 à Bombay, mort le 25 mai 2005 à Londres. Il résidait principalement à New York.

Ismail Merchant est surtout connu pour avoir été le producteur de la plupart des grands succès du réalisateur américain James Ivory, à travers leur société de production Merchant Ivory Productions créée en mai 1961.
